Currently, we have not closed the deal on this venue for St. Louis, but it will be similar to the networking event we had on Friday at Shirt Lab Columbus.  For that event, we had a lot of fun at Land Grant, which was a local Columbus, Ohio brewery.

For Shirt Lab St. Louis, we’ll pick another great location.  This will be from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm, and will be a chance for everyone attending Shirt Lab St. Louis to meet, network, and share stories.
As soon as this venue is announced, we’ll update everyone on the location.

For shops that want the best Shirt Lab experience possible, grab a seat at our exclusive Shirt Lab VIP Dinner.  Availability is limited to only 12 shops, so this will definitely sell out.

The VIP dinner is your chance to meet and hang out with a select group of Shirt Lab instructors, sponsors, and other VIP shop owners.
Currently, we have not closed the deal on this venue for St. Louis, but it will be similar to the VIP event we had after Shirt Lab Columbus that night. For that event, we chose a fantastic restaurant, Strongwater, for its relaxed atmosphere, great food, and private seating.
For Shirt Lab St. Louis, we’ll pick another great location. This will be from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm, and again, will be limited to only the first 12 shops that buy a ticket to this exclusive VIP event.
As soon as this venue is announced, we’ll update everyone on the location.

Shirt Lab Mastermind Brunch

One of the most popular answers to our survey from the Shirt Lab Columbus event was the request for more networking time with other shop owners.

We added some time to the normal Shirt Lab event day, so we thought that a Shirt Lab Mastermind Brunch the following day would be a great idea too.
This is a separate event and will be held at the Shirt Lab main hotel from 9:00 am to 11:00 am on Sunday, March 17, 2019.
Hotel to be determined soon.  Stay tuned.

One of the biggest trends in the decorating apparel business is starting a subscription service to make it easy to sell your creativity.

Not only does this bridge the gap when “normal” sales aren’t as good, but it can also be a marketing force for your shop too.

To help everyone understand the ins and outs of starting a subscription service, we’ve brought in Justin Lawrence with the Oklahoma Shirt Company.

Justin will share his unique insights as to how to do this correctly from start to finish.

If this is something that you’ve been thinking of starting for your shop, or maybe you just want to grow your sales and some bottom line profit…then this Shirt Lab segment is for you.

Profit First

Profit First is the best selling book by Michael Michalowicz, and this idea is really catching on with small businesses…and especially decorated apparel shops.

Here’s the idea:

The GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) formula for determining a business’s profit is Sales – Expenses = Profit. It is simple, logical and clear.

Unfortunately, it’s a lie.

The formula, while logically accurate, does not account for human behavior. In the GAAP formula profit is a left-over, a final consideration, something that is hopefully a nice surprise at the end of the year.

Alas, the profit is rarely there and the business continues on its check to check survival.

With Profit First you to flip the formula to Sales – Profit = Expenses. Logically the math is the same, but from the standpoint of the entrepreneur’s behavior, it is radically different.

With Profit First, you take a predetermined percentage of profit from every sale first, and only the remainder is available for expenses.
